Located in the southeast portion of Louisiana, its climate is moderate; the average temperature is 70 degrees. However, July and August are very hot. New Orleans is known for its lively festivals, jazz music, vibrant nightlife, and legendary culinary scene. However, there are also a lot of historical locations and beauty in New Orleans that can be used as the perfect backdrop for your destination wedding. There’s no place like New Orleans for a Mardi Gras-themed wedding. Consider using black and white as your main colors, with purple or gold pops for your décor and invitations. The bridal party can also use Mardi Gras colors— orange, green, yellow, gold, purple—for its dresses. The reception venue can be decorated in Mardi Gras colors also, and a Junkanoo band can be used at your reception. In addition to a photo booth, a palm reader would be a unique touch. The possibilities of U.S. destinations that can be used for your wedding are end-less. The most important thing to keep in mind when planning a destination wed-ding is to make sure it matches your style and have fun with it! ♥ Donnette Hayes is a destination wedding planner based in South Florida and the owner of Ashanti First Class Travel & Tours.
