Various types of color, near/short-wave infrared, and multispectral/thermal sensing cameras and sensor packages are available to observe phenomena, such as: • vegetation stress; • dam breaches, flood control, sediment discharge; • seasonal mapping of ponds/lakes and monitoring of holding ponds; • groundwater seeps; • brackish water flowing into a river; and • buried objects, such as wells. In addition, drones can be outfitted with sampling vessels and programmed to acquire water samples from a given water body.
