34 | ROCKY MOUNTAIN WATER JANUARY 2017 OF SPECIAL NOTE SUSAN LYNN CESARIO, 67, OF LAKEWOOD, Colo., died August 30 from an accidental fall. Susan was born August 20, 1949, in Washington, Iowa, to William and Margaret Lorenzen, but she grew up in Palisade, Colo. Susan and Lee Cesario were married for 48 years, and lived in Vancouver, B.C., before moving back to Colorado in 1969 and living in Denver and Lakewood. Susan taught at Baker Middle School and John F. Kennedy High School in Denver and retired in 2010. Lee was the Secretary/Treasurer of the Rocky Mountain Section of AWWA from 1991 to 1995 and served in various other roles for the Section until he became Chair from 1997–98. Lee received the Fuller Award in 1999, and was a Director from 2003–06. Susan is survived by Lee and her children, Amy, Andrew (Janay), and Sara; grandchildren Alex, Jesse, and Damarco; two brothers John Lorenzen (Sandy) of Fort Collins, Colo., and Mark Loren-zen (Deni) of Rochester, N.Y.; sister-in-law Corinne Fazzio (Paul) of Elizabeth, Colo.; and many nieces and nephews. Her brother, Dan Lorenzen, preceded her in death. Donations may be made in Susan’s name to the Jefferson County Library Foundation at ColoradoGives.org. MARGARET ANN LAYNE, 84, OF GREEN VALLEY, Ariz., and previously Arvada, Colo., died July 13 after a battle with lymphoma. Margaret Hamilton was born on February 26, 1932, and lived on a farm in Carthage, Mo., until moving to Denver in 1938 with her mother and sister. Marg married her childhood sweetheart, Jack Layne, and together they had two daughters, Barbara and Janet, whom they raised in Arvada. Marg worked in the savings and loan department at Capitol Federal Savings. Jack served on various committees of RMSAWWA, eventually becoming Chair of the Section from 1971–72. In Memoriam
