22 | ROCKY MOUNTAIN WATER JULY 2019
FEATURE
This is relevant because the Rocky
Mountain UMC is announcing plans
to coordinate and conduct a regional
convening similar to the national
convening in Alexandria. The intent is
to hold the convening in May or June
of 2020. In the spirit of collaboration,
the focus of this convening will include
invitations to support partners, such
as human resources staff, school
counselors, high schools, trade schools
and community colleges to begin the
dialog on workforce needs in the water
sector and how these partnerships
can help water utilities train, certify
and advance employees to ensure a
sustainable workforce.
In the next few months, work will
begin to develop a steering committee
and plans for this regional workforce
convening. If you would like to be

important event, contact Jim Ginley or
