COMMITTEE SPOTLIGHT
Meet RMSAWWA’s New
Membership Committee Chair
EMILY LAFAVE HAS BEEN APPOINTED AS THE
RMSAWWA Membership Chair. LaFave works for HDR as
a Senior Marketing Coordinator, focusing on water/waste-water
proposals and client development in Colorado. As our
newest Chair, she is excited about the opportunity of growing
RMSAWWA membership within Colorado, New Mexico, and
Wyoming, and encouraging new members to engage in section
level activities.
LaFave is actively working to create a Membership Committee
consisting of members from all three states. Her goal is to gather
a group who will help drum up excitement about upcoming
events. The Membership Committee will work to develop
strategies and tools to increase the value of membership and
recruit new members to the Section.
If you were around RMSAWWA in the early 2000s, you might
remember former Membership Chair Kevin Bergschneider, who
served as AWWA Vice President from 2015 to 2018. Bergschneider
is currently AWWA’s Membership Engagement Development
Committee Chair and works with LaFave at HDR. Bergschneider
is encouraging others in the Section to offer up support for
LaFave and the RMSAWWA Membership Committee in order
to continue the Section’s history of strong membership growth.
LaFave is looking forward to learning more about the folks
who make RMSAWWA such a great organization and is eager
to meet and connect later this summer, or possibly at the
membership booth at the Rocky Mountain Water Conference,
September 13–16 in Loveland.
Reach out to her at Emily.LaFave@hdrinc.com if you would like
to join the committee; the time commitment is minimal, but the
free t-shirt opportunities are huge.
