(San Jose Student Chapter Celebrates One-Year Anniversary) Grace
is CA-NV AWWA’s Communications Specialist and is responsible
for managing internal and external communications, developing
marketing strategies and coordinating branding and messaging.
She also supports the Section’s Government Affairs Committee,
Communications and Customer Relations Committee, Source Editorial
Advisory Committee and Membership Committee. She has written articles for local and
national news outlets.
(The Frontier Project) Kristeen is Public Affairs Officer at the
Cucamonga Valley Water District. She manages the district’s public
outreach, marketing and communications, education and conservation
programs and is responsible for ensuring that the district’s message of
environmental stewardship is received by all its 190,000 customers.
She has a Master Degree of Public Administration with a specialization
in Water Resource Management from California State University San Bernardino.
(Social Media in Emergency Communications) Daniel is an on-site
communication manager at Katz & Associates in San Francisco. Since
2009 he has served the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission on
strategic communication, outreach, media relations and social media
initiatives for the $4.6-billion Water System Improvement Program.
He is a guest lecturer at the University of San Diego’s Communication

received her Bachelors Degree in Marketing from
California State University Sacramento and Evan
has served as the External Affairs Manager for northern California since 2006.

currently Project Director at Katz & Associates, Inc. She has been
active in water and wastewater utility public relations for 27 years,
specializing in strategic communication planning, public involvement,
community relations, media relations and crisis communication.
