THE CHOICE IS CLEAR
The Trustee position serves as an ambassador for CA-NV Section.
Although they have many varied duties, this ambassador serves as
a visual example to others inside and outside the association. As a
member of the CA-NV Section AWWA‘s Governing Board, I value my
participation in the decision-making process for our section.
As an engineer, I admit that I am not much of a risk taker. However, being
part of the leadership of CA-NV Section AWWA has allowed me to get
involved beyond my comfort zone and find the rewards therein. I have
developed lasting relationships with many colleagues. I have refined my
teamwork and interpersonal skills. I also know that my participation is
valued and that I am making a difference. By getting involved with the
CA-NV Section, I became part of a dedicated group of people that are
passionate about the profession and the challenges it faces.
Along my career path, I had many detours. I wasn’t always sure where
my path would take me. As I reflect back, I am thankful of where my
decisions have taken me and have found that working in a water utility
and serving the health needs of the public is truly an honorable and
worthy profession. S
